Baby Bomber

A HUSBAND and wife arrested in the British terror raids allegedly planned to take their six-month-old baby on a mid-air suicide mission. Scotland Yard police are quizzing Abdula Ahmed Ali, 25, and his 23-year-old wife Cossor over suspicions they were to use their baby’s bottle to hide a liquid bomb.
Or this:
“I’m prepared to sacrifice my six children,” said Mahmoud Sumara’s mother, Halima. “I’m serious. I don’t mind if I lose them if that brings back al-Aqsa…”
“I pray that G-d will choose them (to be martyrs)” (said a father of a 13-year-old to journalist Chris Hedges of the NY Times.)
“I am happy that he [her 13-year-old son] has been martyred. I will sacrifice all my sons and daughters (12 in all) to Al-Aqsa and Jerusalem.” a mother said to journalist Sam Kiley.
“If I had 20 children I would send them all down (to fight), I wouldn’t spare any of them. We’re not scared of death.” (Taman Sabeh, a 50-year-old woman in Nablus).
A mother speaking about another mother whose children were involved in fighting: “The danger of injury to the boy Tzabar Ahkaram, 18, paralysis and permanent disability, just added to his mother’s determination to encourage her sons to participate in the intifada riots…the fact of his injury did not cause her to mourn. She said she had previously lost her older son Iyyad.”

That is amazing. I cannot begin to fathom how a person comes to the point where they believe using a 6-month old child literally as a “human bomb” is moral.

Rex, where’s your “Israel is just as bad” argument? See, this is a fundamental difference between the two sides. They are not equal. Where are the links to stories about right-wing Jewish extremists turning their children into human bombs?

I think you missed my point. I think it is outright evil to involve a child in an adult war in any form. And these terrorist are wrong for using their children insuch a hideous fashion. But don’t let such horrid news blind us to the wrong being committed by Israel as well.
Rather than Israel using their own babies as “human bombs” they just have allowed some Lebanese children to become the targets of their bombs.
So what’s the difference? Intentionality? Maybe! But in the end it does not matter whether an innocent child has died with a bomb strapped to its chest or whether the innocent child died because of a misguided (??) missle. In the end, it is still a child who died as a result of mankind’s hatred for each other.
And while I am at it, let me state clearly that I believe hezbullah hold much of the blame. They are a terrorist orginization that thrives on advancing their agenda through murder, violence, and many other evil acts. I am not trying to excuse them one bit. But it is past due that we “Americans” keep giving Israel a free pass.
Does Israel really want peace? If they do then move out of the middle east. It was not their land any longer and the only way they will remain there is to keep exerting military force. SHAME ON THEM!
