In the Name of God?

Here’s another example of some followers of the Religion of Peace doing their thing at a rally in support of the April 17th suicide bombing in Tel Aviv. They were saying these things openly. In public. In New York:

Zionists, Zionists You will pay! The Wrath of Allah is on its way!
Israeli Zionists You shall pay! The Wrath of Allah is on its way!
The mushroom cloud is on its way! The real Holocaust is on its way!

We are not your average Muslims, We are the Muslims of Was al Sunnah

* * *

Israel won’t last long… Indeed, Allah will repeat the Holocaust right on the soil of Israel Takbeer! Response: Allahu Akbar!

* * *

No wonder they call you sons of apes and pigs because that’s what you are.

We know many government services are watching us
Such as the FBI…CIA…Mossad, Homeland Security…
We know we are getting on their nerves
And so are you….
So we say the hell with you!
May the FBI burn in Hell
CIA burn in Hell
Mossad burn in Hell
Homeland Security burn in hell!!

Islam will dominate the world Islam is the only solution Islam will dominate the world Islam is the only solution Takbeer! La ilaha il Allah, Muhammad-ur Rasool Allah

* * *

Another mushroom cloud, right in the midst of Israel! Takbeer!! Allahu Akbar!

View the video (right-click and save as, 18.5mb, also available from the NEFA Foundation). These folks are likely celebrating today’s bombings in Egypt as well. Openly advocating the deliberate murder of innocent non-combatants and calling for a “real” holocaust is bad enough, but doing so “in the name of God” has to be worse. I don’t believe that “sin is sin.” This is not the same thing as being too materialistic, telling a lie, or having an impure thought. This is different.

And no matter how much of a free speech absolutist you are, there have to be some consequences for spewing this garbage — even if it is initially nothing more than a heck of a lot of scrutiny from law enforcement and intelligence agencies. Are any of these folks sponsoring their relatives for visas or other immigration benefits?

Somebody, please, do something!

    A couple of observations:

    1) Free speech is a right but as you seemed to immply, along with that right should come high responsibility for the speech offered.

    2) You are right. There is a big difference between the sin of anger and the sin of acting out on that anger in a way that takes the life of another.

    But in regards to number 2, I know a few Americans who were angry enough after 9/11 that they called for blood as well. (and I mean “shotgun justice” — excuting justice without due process such as the one 9/11 suspect is getting)

    You said: “Openly advocating the deliberate murder of innocent non-combatants and calling for a “real” holocaust is bad enough, but doing so “in the name of God” has to be worse.”

    I know a few Americans who hold that same view — or at least close to it.

    So hatred, violence, innocent bloodshed, etc… it never discriminates between race, ethnicity, and nationality.

    I think we need to seriously pray for peace!

    BTW…

    Putting aside the fact that I believe the Islamic religion is wrong… How horrible it must be to live a life that is enslaved to that much hatred.

  3. Out of the Mainstream Says:

    Rex,

    Do you really know Americans that advocate indiscriminately killing as many innocent members as possible of a particular race and religion? Are you talking about people who purposefully wish to harm as many civilians as they can possible kill?

    Who are these people?

  4. Rex Says:

    Do some research on some of the hate groups that are allowed to meet/assemble in the US.

    Timothy McVeigh? I am sure he was not the only terrorist thug amongst us. White Supremecy Groups?

    I am simply trying to point out that hate-filled violent people who are willing to murder in the name of social, political, and religious ideologies exist even in our country as well. Radical Islamic people simply garner our media attention.

  5. Out of the Mainstream Says:

    Are these people rallying in NYC in broad daylight and chanting their desires to murder innocents? If so, I bet they would garner media attention…

    As for white supremacy and other hate groups, if there was a movement from the left in this country to “understand” their disgusting, hate-filled ideologies, I would be with you on this one. But for the most part, both the left and the right in America denounce white supremacist and other hate groups. It is only muslim terrorists that arouse so much cause for “concern” and “tolerance” from the left.

    Perhaps if we called muslim terrorists “hate groups,” the left would finally see they are evil…

    Rex,

    Rather than just making generalizations based on preconceived notions, how about gathering some data? Data does matter doesn’t it?

    If you had read what I linked to above, you would have seen this Wikipedia article listing terrorist attacks — not just Islamist terrorist attacks, but all terrorist attacks.

    Start at 1970, go through and count up the incidents. How many white supremacist/neo-nazi- related incidents do you see? How many Islamist-related incidents do you see?

    I know what I think accounts for the difference. What do you think?

  7. Rex Says:

    Forunately by the 1970’s our government was starting to use the law to punish the many terrorist who were stringing people up and burning their houses.

    You all are missing my point however. I am not trying to equate all hate groups as equal in terms of the threat they pose.

    BTW:

    Extremist, you write with preconceived notions as well. Who doesn’t? We all come to the table with assumtions and biases.
