Tomorrow is the deadline for Los Angeles residents to sign a petition in support of a ballot initiative to restore the original city seal. It was changed earlier this year under threats of litigation by the ACLU. Why? Because 0.15% of the area of the seal was besmirched by a cross representing the missionary history of the city. This interesting video details the controversy surrounding the ACLU’s neo-Soviet rewriting of history.
Meanwhile, the “Red Crystal” will be added to the Red Cross and Red Crescent as approved symbols of the IFRC. Even though the Red Cross is supposed to be a symbol of neutrality (it’s an inversion of the Swiss flag), Islamists provided more confirmation of their barbarity by bombing the Red Cross headquarters in Baghdad.
The Red Cross and Red Crescent have been used for over 125 years, according to this article:
Israel, however, insisted on using the Shield of David and has been kept out of the international movement for the past 56 years.
So a Christian symbol, a Muslim symbol and a secular symbol are all okay. But not a Jewish symbol?
